Places That We Know

Wellwood Burns Centre and Museum run by Irvine Burns Club, is part of the National Burns Collection and has in its possession several original manuscripts from "Poems Chiefly in the Scottish Dialect" by Robert Burns, the "Kilmarnock Edition" as well as other artifacts of Robert Burns. The premises has been available to the public since the mid '60s and host school visits with approximately 600, P6 pupils crossing our threshold each year to learn about Burns and his connection to Irvine.
